Apple have just rolled out the final iOS 5.0.1 software update to address the battery-drain issue plague on the latest version of the platform. However, reports and Apple support forums are now buzzing that the fix was only good on paper, as the iPhone battery struggles continue even after the Apple’s patch and notably for some it gets even worse after applying the update.

According to report of PhoneArena, here’s what someone going by geezerdave had to say:

“5.0.1 is a bust! I was one of the lucky ones getting two days out of a charge, albeit with a lot shut off.  After updating I am seeing my power drain at a much quicker rate. Nice.”

Another user known as coloradoappleuser added:
“Same here. Updated about 1.5 hours ago, battery has drained 20% since then with no usage! This is awful!”
And this are only two users, the Apple’s Support forums is nearing 300 pages worth of same sentiments for the battery-gate issue. Other users also reports that after updating they can’t download applications OTA, personally this is my issue early on iOS 5.0 update.

Have you already upgraded to iOS 5.0.1, kindly share us your experience so far, does the battery life get even worse?
