The iPhone Lens Dial

Most of the normal people would think that the more megapixels their smartphone camera have will enable them to capture high-quality photos, but the truth —-what matters most is the quality of the lens. We’ve already shared the iPhone 4 SLR mount that will let you screw your DSLR lens to the iPhone. This time Photojojo added a little range to the types of photos you can take with the iPhone lens dial accessory.

Made from aircraft grade aluminum like the Crimson AFC case, the iPhone lens dial boasts rotating dial with three different lenses of “A 0.7x Wide Angle for sweeping landscapes. Get fun warped images with the 0.33x Fisheye. Switch to the 1.5x Telephoto and get nearly two times closer to your subject.”

The lenses is also claimed to be “optical quality coated glass” and the case gives you an ease of access to all your buttons. There’s also blank holes on the dial that was intended to let you capture photos with iPhone’s built-in camera.

Though this was a very interesting product from Photojojo at $249 the iPhone lens dial isn’t cheap. One more thing, be warned that the sample images on the product shows great amount of vignetting, see below.

There could be drawbacks on this accessory, but the envy-eyes for this accessory could be worth it.
