There could be tons of iPhone cases nowadays, each with different designs and functionality that you’ll have to spend a whole day if you’ll be browsing for one that suits your needs. We already featured some with bombastic price tags and extremely unique designs. However, so far Nissan proves to have something store for us that will going to be our iPhone case for a very long time, meet the company’s  “World’s first self-healing iPhone case”, this peculiar iPhone case heals the scratches on it’s surface itself.

Nissan have just announced this Scratch Shield case for iPhone 4/4S recently. It’s made from ABS plastic that is designed to create a rigid, robust and tighter-fitting case capable of absorbing daily abuse, while its paint have the ability to heal the scratches on it’s surface. “When damage occurs to the coating, the chemical structure is able to react to change back to its original shape and fill the gap, thus “healing” the blemish. The healing process takes between an hour and a week depending on the damage,” BGR explains.

There’s no word on the pricing and when this self-healing iPhone case will hit the shelves accordingly beta testing is on the process and the release is expected later this year.
