On September 21st the iPhone 5 will be formally launch, were most of the fanboys will have their ears on the doorbell for possibly early delivery of their 6th generation iPhone. Some have already fall in line as early this week to get their hands on the device (bragging rights). However, an icebreaker treat have just popped up coming from Taiwan’s Economic Daily News that the rumored iPad mini has started mass production which notably claimed that the Pegatron nails 50 to 60 percent of iPad mini orders away from the China’s  Foxconn.

Apparently, the staggering numbers were statement that Foxconn is no longer the only main assembler of Apple’s iPads. We really don’t know if the sudden increase on production costs on China has something with Apple choosing Pegatron.

It’s expected that both companies along with some suppliers like AUO, Foxlink, TPK will be producing around 5-million iPad minis monthly.

Along with the iPad mini assembly, the iPhone 5 is expected to ship 53-million units and to cope up with the demand; Apple is expected to add Pegatron on the frontline as early as the last quarter of this year.
