The long wait is over as Apple has finally made its redesigned iOS 7 operating system for iPod, iPhone and iPad ready for download. And notably, this isn’t a simpler update but a pretty solid one. The Cupertino-giant is claiming that this update is so far the biggest change to iOS since its birth back on 2007 with the original iPhone and I think everyone would agree.

The iOS 7 has been an overhauled iOS from its original form and what really interesting about this update, or mostly of software updates from Apple is it’s made compatible for most of the existing iOS devices. So not exactly you need to buy a new iPod, iPhone or iPad just to enjoy iOS 7’s new features.

To grab the update over-the-air(OTA), you just need to navigate from your iPad or iPhone’s Settings–>General–>Software Update and you’ll have the 700+MB of iOS 7 goodness. It’s quite easy but make sure your iOS device has enough battery and you have an stable connection.

While on your OS X or PC laptop, just by plugging your iPhone, the iTunes will surely pop-up telling you that you have an update for your iPhone, apparently, you also need to update your iTunes first to its 11.1 version.

Make sure that you have enough space as the download and installation requires up to 3GB of storage capacity.

Now to let you know if you have supported devices, the iOS 7 will run on iPhone 4 to present versions, while iPad 2 to present and 5th generation iPod touch.
