Cited by Forbes, Apple had already made a milestone of selling its 500 millionth iPhone, a significant milestone that seemed to have passed without hearing the Apple-ish way of announcing it to their consumers.

iPhone 5C

Based from Apple’s reported total sales from 2007 up to end of 2013, there are 472 million iPhones sold and considering the analysts estimates of 38 million this quarter which will be ending in few days –there’s no doubt that Apple have already sold its 500 millionth iPhone.

Apple is known for its highly broadcasted milestone, from the celebration of Mac’s 30th anniversary or it 50 billionth app download from the App Store. If you can remember May last year, Apple awarded a $10,000 iTunes Store gift card to the person who downloaded the 50 billionth app.

There’s no indication that Apple’s iPhone is in a situation of major sales downfall, instead it continues to grow quarterly with significant rise from 47.8 million to 51 million sales of iPhones in the same first fiscal quarter of year-over-year.

Now, on the upcoming quarters we’ll enter the normal cycle for Apple’s sales slump —-when consumers gears up for the fall launch of the next-gen iPhone 6 but expect it to rise again after the release.
