Analysts predicts that by the timeline of between 2023 and 2025 —-the trillion-dollar Cupertino-giant will intro their next disruptive technology, the Apple Car.
Reports says the car will be Apple’s “next star product” and revolutionize the auto industry like the iPhone did the smartphone market in 2007, TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a note. The analyst also added there could be huge demands in the auto industry since it’s bound by technological advances. Apple’s current research and development in the field of augmented reality can elevate them amongst competition. One more advantage will be its deep ecosystem of devices, apps and services that they can integrate in the Apple Car.
You might imagine if you can instruct Siri to drive for you or find the best traffic-free way to get you in your destination on time. How about asking Siri to pick you up after office or drive your children to school. These scenarios could be possible as we’ve been experienced the shift of industries into Internet of Things(IoT) where the machines talk to each other utilizing artificial intelligence and cloud analytics transforming business productivity.
Apple’s self-driving car program, known as Project Titan seemed to be on-track with the company’s lead engineer Doug Field returned to Apple after a stint at Tesla to work with Bob Mansfield, who has been leading Project Titan. This follows the June hiring of Jaime Waydo, a former senior engineer with Waymo.
The progressive shift to disruptive technologies have made these drastic changes on how fast we are reaching the once ‘future’ innovations. We can have 5G networks and devices in one or two years, a perfect medium on how Apple Car could disrupt the auto industry.
